Rob and I have arrived safely in Peru! Our travels took us through Boston, New York, Panama City, and finally here to Lima. It’s been a long and tiring trip, but we can’t wait to get the group together and see what we can all do.

 

 

Tomorrow, the first of the STRIVErs in the Spanish Immersion Program (SIP) arrive in the evening, along with two of our great college interns, Craig and Olivia. We’ll have a great week of intensive Spanish language practice and immersion as the STRIVErs get to see what it’s like to live with a Peruvian family. Finally, we’ll meet the rest of the group in Pisaq next Sunday when Session 1 officially begins!

 

 

Incredibly, Rob and I are being treated to beautiful sunshine here (Lima is known for its continuously overcast and humid weather). I think there’s just enough time for a quick afternoon run before we get back to work….
