I have always been a proponent of travel. Not just the occasional ski trip or vacation laying on the beach, but one that affords the individual with an opportunity to surround themselves with the unfamiliar. As I begin to pack my bag for the umpteenth time I am finally grasping the reality of the situation. Six weeks of pure unbridled adventure!

I use the word unbridled with a bit of discretion. There is a great deal of work and fore planning that goes into making sure ventures such as this run smoothly.

In regards to the trip, there are a countless number of projects, runs, and people to be excited for. STRIVE, in my eyes, provides a range of young likeminded individuals the opportunity to pursue personal and physical growth. I eagerly await working alongside the campers and imparting my life experiences, running related or not, and learning about their aspirations. The small town of Pisac will offer us a chance to delve into the past as we learn from the surrounding community a way of life unfamiliar to most of us. To that end, I will wait to see what Peru has to offer, and look forward to sharing our experiences with you in the near future.

Till then,

Tully
