Weekly Summary – Very little actual running with the focus on recovery from my hamstring pull at the US 50km Championship last week. Much improvement, though!
Lunes, 2 Marzo, 2015 – AM: Off, travel back from NYC.
3pm: 65min on stationary bike. No running today – hamstring still very inflamed, but better than yesterday. Playing it careful. Total work “8M”.
XT: Core, 12’.
Martes, 3 Marzo, 2015 – 8am: No running today as hammie was still a bit tender (but much improved). Went for a long walk about 90 minutes – maybe 3-4 miles. Total “run” 4M.
2pm: Did 60 minutes on the stationary bike at a good intensity. Leg felt good. Tried the elliptical, but that bugged it more, so cut it there. After, walked 2M to Costco and back and then walked another 1.5M on the treadmill at 5% grade while watching the new Brooklyn Nine Nine. Total “run”: 12M.
XT: Upper body circuit. 5 sets of [20x pushup, 30x flutter (x2), 20x dips]
Miercoles, 4 Marzo, 2015 – 8am: Walk 1M then stationary bike for 80 minutes at good intensity.
3pm: Jogged 1M. Feeling about 75%. Elliptical for 60 minutes which felt very good – worked on keeping form. Jogged for another .5M or so after and felt much better.
XT: Hips.
Jueves, 5 Marzo, 2015 – 8am: Walk 1M then ran ran 4M very easy (~31’), then elliptical for 40’, then ran another 1M quicker in around 6’30. Best I’ve felt!
4pm: Elliptical for 45’ then 4M easy in 30’. Felt good again.
XT: Hips
Viernes, 6 de Marzo, 2015 – 9am: Ran 1M, but stride wasn’t quite right, so XT only.
4pm: Got PT treatment from Jeff Brannigan – tons of stretching and deep work in the left knee/hamstring area. Feeling much better – range of motion much improved. No workout this afternoon.

Sabado, 7 de Marzo, 2015 – 9am: “11M” of work, almost all on elliptical. Felt good.
4pm: 9M of work all on elliptical.

Domingo, 8 de Marzo, 2015 – 10am: Slept late after a late night at the National Symphony with Mariana and her folks. Did “8M” of work with most on the elliptical and about 1.5M running.
5pm: “12M” of work with most on the elliptical, some on the bike. Felt pretty good. Try a bit more running tomorrow.
