Hey everyone! For all those who are in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area and looking for a great race to run this summer, I’d recommend taking a look at the Battling Cancer 5K in Fredericksburg, VA on June 19. The race is run by my friend Kyle Pfohl – a great runner, himself – and has raised over $45,000 in its previous four iterations. As a survivor of a childhood blood disease myself, I’m always drawn to opportunities to help raise money for cancer- or other-disease-research and Kyle’s grass-roots race has become a great example of what one person with a great attitude and idea can accomplish.

For the running-nerds: the course is a USATF certified 5K and starts at 8am, so it shouldn’t be too hot.

Take a look at the info below and check it out if it sounds interesting to you!
